Who We Are
Intrepid Mines Limited is an international precious metals producer, developer and explorer with operations in Australia and Indonesia.
Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, the new Intrepid was established in March 2008 through the merger of ASX-listed Emperor Mines Limited, an Australian-based gold mining and exploration company, and ASX and TSX-listed Intrepid Mines Limited.
In building the new Intrepid, the Company has achieved significant milestones. We have successfully merged both companies, improved our safety performance, strengthened our leadership group, maintained our level of growth in our producing asset, Paulsens, increased our stake in our major exploration project, Tujuh Bukit, and eliminated our debt.
Intrepid’s principal producing site is Paulsens Gold Mine. Paulsens is located on the Ashburton Mineral Field in Western Australia, and generates approximately 70,000 ounces of gold per annum.
Intrepid’s principal exploration site is located at Tujuh Bukit, Indonesia. This site spans 116 square kilometres and has a potentially large porphyry and high sulphidation epithermal gold-silver-copper system.
The Company plans to grow through successful operation, development and extension of its Paulsens Gold Mine and exploration success in the Company’s prospective areas of interest including Tujuh Bukit.
The new Intrepid is committed to living our Code of Conduct and to acting inclusively with our partners. We celebrate our successes while demanding more of ourselves and our team. We dare to be a progressive leader in the precious metals industry. The new Intrepid is excited by growth and will use this as our impetus for a sustainable future.
